My paintings observe the simple beauty of the everyday surroundings of my native Dorset. Captured in my richly detailed still lifes and my whimsical landscape paintings , I use my innate sense of colour to jewel-like effect.

Artist Biography
Vanessa comes from a family of artists and paints from her garden studio in her native West Dorset.
She studied printed Textile design at Winchester School of Art where she graduated in 1993 with first class honours.
Following a period of designing for an international textile market ,Vanessa focussed solely on painting and now exhibits widely in galleries and art fairs throughout the UK,in both solo and group shows.
She also has had her work featured in magazines including House&Garden, Country Living, and The Simple Things.
She has also collaborated on projects with Farrow&Ball and Highgrove, and her work is licensed extensively for greetings cards.
